 elcome to Dubuque  Community Schools' Logo Library. Our logo finds itself on a variety of applications, from teeshirts to caps, from coffee mugs to apothecary jars, from report covers to Web sites. To aid the various suppliers and manufacturers with whom we contract, we have provided this logo library for their use. It's a great help in developing proposals and cost estimates, and it's a ready resource for graphic production for anything from embroidery to screenprinting. We've also provided a CMYK color logo for high-end publishing, and an RGB full color version for everything else. Here's the New Business Card Template in MSWord! All you have to do is take the following steps: 1. Download the Word file to your hard drive. Choose the one that fits the maximum paper size of your printer There is a template for letter size (8.5 x 11 inches). 2. After it downloads, open the file in Microsoft Word (it will likely launch Word and open it automatically on your desktop).. 3. Customize the text fields with your personal information. 4. Dubuque School District Logo Usage Guidelines

have guidelines? Your logo or trademark is not just intellectual property
to be protected as well as promoted, but it is the visual touchstone your
audience associates with your organization. Logos are protected by our
government's copyright laws, and those who misappropriate your logo or
trademark are subject to prosecution under our federal laws.
When an organization has too many variations on its logo or trademark, it erodes the organization's case for protection of that image. If there are several different versions of a trademark allowed to exist, it sets the precedent that variations on the logo are allowed even by competitors who wish to capitalize in some way on your product's look and feel. Conflicting brands and logos can be very confusing to consumers and constituents, and the easiest way to avoid this confusion is the have published logo and trademark standards and specifications to which an organization as well as its vendors can follow.
Here are some guidelines to follow when using or applying our logo to various applications:
Some Logo Don'ts
1. Never display the logo with parts eliminated (for example, the name and sun but no river and trees).

2. Don't stretch or deform the logo in any way. In most applications, to resize the logo, you click and drag one of the selected image handlers with your mouse. Always hold the shift key down on your keyboard when doing so. This will make sure you resize the logo in proportion and not make it wider or taller in the process.

3. Don't deviate from the color scheme (don't change the colors). The color specifications are as follows:
4. When displaying the logo against a dark color, make sure the logo is vignetted in a white rectangle. Don't attempt to reverse the logo out of a dark background.

5. When working with the logo in black and white or one color applications, aim for the best contrast between the graphic and its background: On paper where grayscale is an option, simply printing the color version of the logo on a black and white printer will render a very acceptable version of the logo. On dark surfaces where a one-color logo must be applied, then a reverse of a solid black version of the logo is preferred.
