District ACT Results for Graduating Class 2003

The chart below provides a comparison of the performance of 2003 Dubuque Community School District graduates with that of all Iowa and national graduates on the ACT assessment. This test is usually taken by students planning to continue formal education after high school. A score of 20 or higher on the 36-point scale indicates probable success in college, according to the Iowa Department of Education. 77% of Dubuque's 2003 graduates earned a composite score of 20 or higher, compared with 69% of Iowa and 58% of national students.
