Volcanos!

Hoover erupts in learning during a noble science experiment!

Video Adventure by Gary Olsen and Charlie Ellis

Mrs. Reeg's fourth graders at Hoover Elementary engage in the perennial favorite science experiment to dramatize the dynamics of our earth's crust. Gary Olsen interviews the young volcanologists, their teacher, and captures an experiment that dramatically demonstrates how science class, like a seismic event, can be quite unpredictable.

At right are the artistic and poetic contributions of the students who participated in the time-honored tradition of building classroom volcanos. Clicking on them reveals the larger, more printable versions.
