elcome to Kids & Creatures. It's a television series comprised of animal care tips presented by elementary school children of the Dubuque Community School District in cooperation with the Dubuque Regional Humane Society. Each show is less than 3 minutes in length, and they feature a different aspect of pet care. The participating school who is a business-education partner with the Humane Society is Bryant School. The production is made possible through a collaboration between Dubuque Community Schools and Mediacom and the programs air on our exclusive Mediacom Channel, DCS-TV 19.
The show's mission is to impart knowledge on basic pet and animal care and to build compassion for animals among young people. The Dubuque Community School District and the Dubuque Regional Humane Society believe there is a link between owning and maintaining a pet and the level of responsibility, character and compassion that exists in the heart of a young person.
Our reporters from Bryant School include Bethany and Matt in the first four episodes and Jack, Emily and Mitch in the second set of four. They did an admirable job considering this was their first ever television project.
