Joe
Tollari was a student at Loras College when he received an offer
to student teach a science class at Senior High School. That was
34 years ago, and the Des Moines native never left. A lifelong learner,
Joe has been named Teacher of The Year by his peers, the Dubuque
Education Association and school administrators. For a 12 minute

honored at the Dubuque Teacher Appreciation Dinner held at the Dubuque
Greyhoud Park on the 23rd: Thom Determan received the TEAM
Award, and John Jungbluth and Dan Walsh, volunteer
campaign organizers for the Penny Tax Campaign last fall, each received
the Friend of Education Award.
