The Digital Fringe is a virtual art gallery celebrates student artists from Carver, Eisenhower, Hoover, Kennedy and Marshall School. The Digital Fringe can be downloaded on demand from this site and viewed on Mediacom Cable, Channel 19. We also have available a gallery of still images that enable you to download printable copies of the artwork. The Digital Fringe is a virtual art space available online and on cable television. We can be seen on Mediacom Channel 19 in Dubuque, our district's exclusive cable channel.

The Digital Fringe was created by Gary Olsen and Cheryl Werner, district Gifted and Talented Program coordinator. Gary Olsen is a media producer for the district, but he's also a noted gallery painter whose works are in several Iowa and regional art collections. Gary, Cheryl and administrative assistant, Susan Schulz, collect the artists' works from our district's art teachers each month. The art teachers use digital cameras to capture the artwork and send the photos on to Susan. Then Gary produces a video of the collection and music is added. The feature has become very popular on our district's cable channel, and it is a popular download from this Web site each month.
