Dubuque Community School District 2005-2006
Certified Enrollment
- Residents

What follows are the enrollment figures for each of the buildings which comprise the Dubuque Community school District. An accurate student population census at the beginning of the year is essential in determining state educational funds that come into our district. The state uses our enrollment numbers and calculates in factors such as tax revenue generated by our district to come up with a portion of the operating funds we will need for the year.

The Annual Progress Report

This is perhaps the most informative resource for information about your district. It's particularly useful for those of you who are considering a move to Dubuque or if you represent a business seeking to expand. Research has indicated that the quality of education in a locale is the number one criteria in making the decision to locate in a community.

The State of Iowa Department of Education mandates that all schools provide annual progress report data, but the Dubuque Community School District has taken this opportunity to a much higher level. Our award-winning Annual Progress Report for the Dubuque Community Schools is available not only in printed form but it can be downloaded as part of a media rich online document that takes you behind the data and introduces you to the teachers, students and administrators that make the Dubuque Community School among the top 10 school districts in the nation in terms of educational quality.

Maps of the District

Click here for a map of the K12 school boundaries. These maps are particularly useful because they show which neighborhoods are served by which schools, and we've included elementary, middle school and high school maps. We are providing a new way of delivering this information, and it makes use of Internet technology to produce a map that doesn't require printing to be useful. Click here to visit the Map Room.
