Introducing the BoomWhacker Band of Prescott School

his season Musical Moments' endeavor is to take you into a typical general music classroom with students who may not necessarily be music students. The objective here is to show you how music a student's subject mix helps in forming a better student. The concept here is that music teaches students how to multi-task, collaborate and work well with others to create something that is greater than one could accomplish by themselves.

In this episode we visit Patti Millius' class at Prescott School, and we demonstrate how students learn to read basic notes on a scale by playing a unique musical instrument made of plastic pipe called a "boomwhacker."
