Michael Houselog, currently serving as superintendent for the Belvidere Community Unit School District in Belvidere, Illinois, since 2007. Previously, he was superintendent at North Boone Community Unit School District #200 in Poplar Grove, Illinois, and Carbon Cliff-Barstow Community Unit School District #36 in Barstow, Ill. During his career, he has also been an elementary and high school principal, director of special services, special assistant to the superintendent and special education teacher. A graduate of Wahlert Catholic High School, he holds a bachelor’s degree from Loras College, master’s degrees from Clarke College and Drake University, and is currently completing a doctoral program at Aurora University in Wisconsin.
